
T&F Earns Four Top 10s At Tom Hathaway Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - - All four members of the Ball State indoor track & field team which competed at the Tom Hathaway Classic posted top 10 finishes Saturday afternoon at UIndy's Athletics Recreational Center.
Leading the pack for the Cardinals in the non-scored event was junior distance runner Courtney Edon (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) with a first-place time of 18:17.75 in the 5000m run.
In the triple jump, freshman Gabrielle Perryman (Beachwood, Ohio/Beachwood) posted a career-best distance of 10.47m to place third overall.
The Cardinals rounded out the meet with two participants in the pole vault. Junior Hannah Ciasto-Poor (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North) placed fourth overall by clearing the bar at 3.48m, while freshman Elizabeth Eversole (Mishawaka, Ind./Marian) earned seventh with a career-best height of 3.40m.
The Ball State indoor track & field team returns to action Friday, when it hosts the Ball State Quadrangular at 5 p.m. in the Ball State Field Sports Building. It will mark the Cardinals' final tune-up before the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championships.
