Jam Packed Saturday Winds Down Football's Bowl Week
January 05, 2014 | Football
Ball State's football team spent Saturday of the GoDaddy Bowl Week touring the USS Alabama, taking in a Mardi Gras parade and holding the final practice of the year.
The Mardi Gras parade, a tradition in the city that originated the event, played host to floats featuring Ball State athletics director Bill Scholl and President Dr. Jo Ann Gora. The Pride of Mid-America marching band and Ball State spirit squads also took part in the downtown Mobile, Ala., event.
Saturday's events were capped off by the final practice of the season, a one-hour walk through to put the finishing touches on prep for Arkansas State.
The GoDaddy Bowl kicks off Sunday at 9 p.m. (ET) on ESPN vs. Arkansas State.
