Ball State's Joel Godett features the football team's specialists as the Cardinals continue preparations for Thursday's season opener vs. Illinois State.
Suffering the loss of placekicker Steven Schott and punter Scott Kovanda, the Cardinals will return the services of longsnapper Garrett Mack and top return man Jamill Smith for the 2013 season.
Ball State will open the season at 7 p.m. Thursday against the Redbirds in a "White Out" game at Scheumann Stadium.
