Football Announces 2014-15 Leadership Council
August 19, 2013 | Football
Ball State fourth-year head football coach Pete Lembo's Leadership Council was created to maximize the student-athlete's input into football program operations.
This year's Leadership Council is as follows:
Freshmen – Corey Lacanaria, David Morrison, Kevin Willis
Redshirt Freshmen – Jack Milas, Vinnie Palazeti, Ralph Smith
Sophomores – Steven Bell, Sam Brunner, Ozzie Mann
Juniors – Ben Ingle, Jacob Richard, Darnell Smith, Jordan Williams
Seniors – Jahwan Edwards, Brian Jones, Nick Miles
PURPOSE:
The Leadership Council was created to maximize our players' input into everyday football program operations. The group will meet on Monday nights during the season with Coach Pete Lembo to discuss issues and make decisions that can improve the football program. There are also meetings in the spring semester, typically on Wednesdays. The meetings are a great source of feedback for the coaching staff from the players and vice versa. A major bi-product of the Council is the development of leadership and communication skills in our student-athletes.
MEMBERS:
Our entire team participated in leadership development presentations. During preseason camp, we ask each player to vote for three representatives from his class. Once these players are selected, the representatives meet with Coach Lembo and the captains on Monday nights. All representatives must be in good academic standing.
