Football Voluntary Workouts Underway

With summer school started in Muncie, the Ball State football team has begun voluntary weightlifting workouts. Players in town work in four groups, four days a week with Football Director of Strength and Conditioning Dave Feeley to improve areas such as strength, athleticism and running technique.
The summer workouts started with two discretionary weeks and is now in its second week of voluntary workouts. It also sees both the offensive and defensive units work together outside the weightroom to improve communication and work on unit cohesion.
Ball State finished 9-4 overall in 2012 and made its third bowl appearance in six seasons. The Cardinals open the 2013 season Aug. 29, with a home game vs. Illinois State.
