The Ball State women's basketball team (17-15) advanced to the final 16 of the WNIT for the first time in program history with a 53-48 victory over Northern Iowa (17-17) Sunday afternoon in Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals will now travel to Kansas State Thursday to take on the Wildcats at 8 p.m. (EST) in the Bramlage Coliseum. Kansas State advanced to the final 16 of the WNIT after posting a 57-48 victory over Illinois State Monday night in Manhattan, Kan. With the win the Wildcats improved to 17-17 on the season.
