
Men's Tennis Takes Down In-State Rival Butler, 5-2

INDIANAPOLIS,Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over in-state rival Butler Thursday afternoon in Indianapolis. With the win the Cardinals improve to 10-6 on the season.
Ball State swept all three doubles matches to take the early 1-0 edge over Butler.
In singles action, Ray Leonard dropped his first set at the No. 1 spot but came back to win the next two 6-4, 6-1 to claim the victory over Pulok Bhattacharya. Cliff Morrison defeated Tommy Marx in straight sets at the No. 2 position. Patrick Elliott and Austin Smith also won their respective competitions.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues non-conference action at Illinois State Saturday. First serve is at 2 p.m. EST. The Cardinals will begin Mid-American Conference action at Toledo, March 30.
