
Men's Tennis Topples Xavier, 4-3

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team handed Xavier only its third loss of the season Sunday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals 4-3 victory over the Musketeers improved their overall record to 9-6 while Xavier falls to 13-3.
Ball State had to battle back after falling behind 1-0 to Xavier after dropping the doubles point. The lone doubles victory for the Cardinals was at the No. 3 spot, Dalton Albertin and Alexandre Brym defeated Michael Moe and Zach Mueck, 8-5.
The Cardinals knocked off the Musketeers during singles play winning four matches. Ray Leonard took down Jimmy Roebker 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 position. Albertin won in straight sets over Mueck at No. 3 singles while Brym and Elliott also earned victories in their respective positions.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues spring action at in-state rival Butler Tuesday. First serve is at 2:30 p.m.
