
Men's Tennis Defeats Air Force Saturday, 5-2

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Ball State men's tennis team captured a 5-2 win over Air Force Saturday in Las Vegas. With the win the Cardinals improved to 8-6 on the season.
The Cardinals took the early 1-0 edge over Air Force after sweeping doubles. At No. 1 doubles Ray Leonard and Patrick Elliott took down Lance Wilhelm and Grant Taylor, 8-4. Cliff Morrison teammed up with Imanol Arconada for the 8-3 defeat at the No. 2 spot then Dalton Albertin and Alexandre Brym rounded out the doubles win in a 8-7 (9-7) tie breaker.
In singles action Arconada, Albertin, Austin Smith and Austin Sansone all won in straight sets in their respective positions.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues non-conference action Sunday, March 17 against Xavier at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. First serve is at 1 p.m.
