Men's Tennis Closes Out Play At ITA Regionals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Ball State men's tennis team close out play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championship Saturday in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In singles action, Ray Leonard advanced to the round of 32 after earning a straight set victory 6-3, 6-2 over Vanderbilt's Ryan Smith. Leonard would then lose in the round of 16, 6-4, 6-3 to Tennessee's Mikelis Libietis. Also in the main draw, Lucas Andersen lost in the round of 64 to UT's Jarryd Chaplin, 6-2, 6-4.
Patrick Elliott wrapped up singles action with a three set consolation win over Tennessee's Colton Norton.
The Ball State men's tennis team closes out its fall season when it competes at the Texas Invitational (Oct. 25-27) in Austin, Texas.
