January 09, 2013 | Football
Ball State and the Mid-American Conference have announced the Cardinals home and away opponents for the 2013 league football season.
Ball State will play home conference games vs. Central Michigan, Toledo, Kent State and Miami University. The Cardinals will play road MAC games at Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan and Akron. Dates and times for these games will be announced at a later date.
"We are looking forward to another challenging lineup of MAC East Division opponents in next year's crossover games," Ball State head coach Pete Lembo says. "Kent State had a terrific year in 2012 and many of their top players return. We are excited to welcome Miami University to Scheumann Stadium. I enjoyed learning about the rivalry between our schools last year and it is great to be playing the RedHawks again. Akron has made a major commitment to its program and I am sure they will be much improved in 2013."
Ball State's non-conference football schedule for 2013 has been announced and is as follows:
Thurs., Aug. 29 - ILLINOIS STATE
Sat., Sept. 7 - ARMY
Sat., Sept. 14 - at North Texas
Sat., Oct. 5 - at Virginia
