
Men's Tennis Ends Tournament Play With Loss To Utah

BOISE, Idaho - The Ball State men's tennis team (13-6) closed play in the Boise State Spring Break Classic presented by Springhill Suites with a 7-0 loss to Utah Saturday afternoon.
In the hardest-fought match of the day, BSU's Patrick Elliott took the first set versus Utah's David Lane by a score of 6-2, only to lose the second 6-4 and the tiebreaker 11-9.
In doubles action, Dalton Albertin and Ray Leonard also lost a tough tiebreaker at the No. 1 slot, falling 9-8 (2) in a match versus Benito Suriano and Dmytro Mamedov.
Leonard also turned in a strong effort at No. 1 singles, but suffered a hard-fought 7-6 (3), 7-5 loss to Suriano.
The Ball State men's tennis team returns to action Thursday, when it hosts Butler in a 2:30 p.m. contest at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
