
Gymnastics Team Suffers Loss to Pitt

Ball State's gymnastics team suffered a loss to Pitt at Worthen Arena. The Cardinals managed a 192.250 score, while the Panthers tallied a 194.400.
The Cardinals began the meet on the vault and tallied a 47.775, while Pitt managed a 48.400 on the bars. Ball State recorded a 47.225 on the bars and Pitt managed a 48.700 on the vault.
Nicole Allen tied for second on the vault with a 9.80, and tied for first on the bars with a 9.725.
On the beam, Ball State tallied a 48.475, while Pitt managed a 48.500 on the floor. In the final rotation, the Cardinals tallied a 48.775 on the floor, while the Panthers tallied a 48.800 on the beam to claim the victory.
On the beam, Leah Wilson tied for second with a 9.775. On the floor, three Cardinals tied for third with 9.775 marks. Allen, Angie Hosbach and Aftyn Siemer all tied for third.
Allen also placed second in the all-around with a 38.950.
Ball State will compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships March 24 at Northern Illinois in DeKalb, Ill.
