
Gymnasts Finish Second in Meet at Kentucky

Ball State's women's gymnastics team placed second out of three teams in a meet at Kentucky. The Cardinals tallied a 191.725 to defeat George Washington (191.650), but suffered a loss to Kentucky (196.025).
Nicole Allen led the Cardinals with a first-place finish on the vault with her 9.850 mark. Allen competed in the all-around and placed fourth with a 37.950 total.
Aftyn Siemer tied for third on the vault with a 9.775 mark, while Morgan Coslow was sixth with a 9.725.
On the bars, Angie Hosbach was the team's top finisher with a seventh place showing after posting a 9.725.
Brooklyn Schumacher was the Cardinals top performer on the beam with a 9.700, which placed her eighth.
Siemer tied for fourth on the floor with a 9.800, while Allen tied for sixth with a 9.775 mark.
Ball State returns to action Thursday with a 7 p.m. meet at Irving Gym in Ball State's Student Recreation and Wellness Center vs. Pittsburgh.
