Women's Golf Placed 12th at First Event of Spring

Ball State's women's golf team placed 12th out of 17 teams at the Claud Jacobs Challenge presented by SCOR golf at Victoria Country Club in Victoria, Texas.
The Cardinals managed a 331-321-331=983 and finished behind seventh-place Toledo from the Mid-American Conference, while finishing ahead of 13th-place Ohio from the MAC.
Meghan Perry was Ball State's top finisher with an 82-80-80=242 to tie for 33rd out of the 90-player field.
Sarah Westaway tied for 48th with an 80-78-88=246, while Katie Windlan tied for 54th after carding an 89-79-80=248.
Autumn Duke managed an 84-84-83=251, and Jenna Hague tallied an 85-84-91=260.
Ball State will return to action at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational at Rio Verde Country Club in Rio Verde, Ariz., March 9-11.
