Scott Kovanda Talks Ray Guy Award

Punter Scott Kovanda is in Florida this weekend, hoping to come home as the 2012 winner of the Ray Guy Award. Kovanda is headed to the Home Depot College Football Awards as the only representative from the Mid-American Conference. The awards show is broadcast nationally on ESPN tonight at 7:30pm. Nine awards are handed out at the ceremony, inclduing the Maxwell Award, given annually to college football's most outstanding player.
Kovanda is the newest in a long line of punting greats at Ball State. He follows in the footsteps of All-American Chris Miller and NFL punters Brad Maynard, a MAC Player of the Year while in Muncie, and Reggie Hodges.
