
Men?s Swimming & Diving Falls to Miami Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State scored wins in five of the 13 events, however the men's swimming and diving team fell to Mid-American Conference opponent Miami, 134-107, Saturday afternoon at Lewellen Aquatic Center.
Junior Michael Weber (Lorain, Ohio/Elyria Catholic) and seniors Gavin McNeeley (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester), Chris Krupa (Indianapolis/Pike) and Casey Schroeder (Williamsport, Ind./Seeger Memorial) combined to start the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:26.98.
Schroeder also added first-place efforts in the 50 free (21.47) and 100 free (46.70), while McNeeley posted victories in the 200 breast (2:08.43) and sophomore Drew Tharp (Evansville, Ind./Reitz Memorial) clocked in at 1:54.06 in the 200 fly.
Head coach Bob Thomas and the Cardinals return to action Friday, Jan. 13 as Ball State hosts Eastern Illinois at 6 p.m. from Lewellen Aquatic Center.
