Men's Tennis Ends Competition at Milwaukee Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Ball State University men's tennis team ended its three day competition at the 36th annual Milwaukee Classic Sunday.
Freshman Ray Leonard was the lone Cardinal to capture a win over Big Ten foe Wisconsin in singles action after posting a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) defeat over the Badgers Alex Robles.
In doubles action junior Dalton Albertin paired up with Leonard to earn an 8-6 victory over Northwestern. Seniors Zane Smith and Derek Carpenter teamed up to win 8-5 over the Wildcats.
At the conclusion of today's events Alexandre Brym earned the Mulcahy Sportsmanship Award.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues fall action at home September 30 - October 2 when it hosts the Ball State Invitational.
