Football Preparations Began Long Before Fall Camp
August 07, 2011 | Football
Ball State's football program began Fall Camp Aug. 4, but preparations for the 2011 season began long before that and now continues in a renovated weight room in the Fisher Training Complex at Scheumann Stadium.
"Previously there was a philosophy of a high intensity workout that we have changed to an Olympic style approach," first-year strength and conditioning coach David Feeley says. "Looking at the testing numbers, we saw some areas we could improve. We have moved out a great deal of the machines, because our philosophy is based on a barbell approach."
Ball State's strength and conditioning facility underwent renovations that were completed this summer.
"Every student-athlete in the program has bought in completely," Feeley says. "We could not be more pleased with the attitude and work ethic and the philosophy in the weight room. You will see a bigger, stronger, faster student-athlete."
