Football Team Completes Second Fall Camp Session
August 05, 2011 | Football
Ball State's football team completed its second day of Fall Camp with a Friday session in shorts and helmets under first-year head coach Pete Lembo.
"The entire coaching staff stresses the details," Ball State wide receiver and one of the team captains, Briggs Orsbon says. "A blocked field goal is only going to happen once or twice a year, but it's going to win or lose you a game. That's why we worked on it the first night, and hopefully it sticks with everyone throughout the season."
The Cardinals will open the 2011 season Sept. 3 vs. Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. To purchase tickets to the game, order online at www.ballstatesports.com or call the ticket office at 1.888.BSU.TICKET.
"I thought the first two practices have gone great," team captain and senior Sean Baker says. "We have a lot of energy and we are playing fast. Everybody has to stay mentally sharp. Our bodies have been in shape (for a while). We have been trained for this, that's what we've been doing all summer. Now it's all a mindset from here on out."
