Softball Adds Contest With Monmouth to Tuesday Slate

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Ball State makes a schedule change to its stop in Orlando, Fla., adding a contest with Monmouth at 2 p.m. before competing with UCF at 4 p.m. at UCF Softball Complex.
Monmouth enters this midweek contest with a 4-5 overall record in the 2001 season after defeating Florida A&M, 6-4, Sunday in the UCF Tournament, while UCF owns a 7-14 mark, including a 6-10 tally at home, heading into the day's action.
Ball State will return to action this weekend with matchups against Long Island, Connecticut, Quinnipiac, Florida and St. Joseph's in the Under Armour Showcase, starting Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Clearwater, Fla.
Head coach Craig Nicholson and the team open the home portion of the 2011 season in a doubleheader versus Dayton at the BSU Softball Complex, beginning at 3 p.m. on March 24.
