Brittany Kelly Wins MAC Golfer of the Week Award

Brittany Kelly, a senior member of the Ball State women's golf team, has been selected the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week, for her performance at the UALR Golf Classic Monday and Tuesday.
Kelly was the top MAC individual at the Arkansas-Little Rock Women's Golf Classic at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark. She tied for fifth with a 73-76-74=223. Her 73 in the first round tied for the second best round in the 99-player field.
The finish marked her sixth top-10 finish of the season.
The award marks the third time this season Kelly has received one of the MAC's weekly honors. She was one of three to share the award after tying for fourth at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational in October plus shared the honor after placing in a tie for second at the Rio Verde Invitational in March.
Ball State's women's golf team will compete at the Indiana Invitational at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Ind., Monday and Tuesday.
