Men's Tennis Defeats Detroit 7-0

MUNCIE, Ind.- The Ball State men's tennis team defeated Detroit Mercy 7-0 at the Muncie YMCA . The Cardinal's continue to improve with a 4-1 record.
The Ball State swept the single matches . Austin Smith, Shaun Bussert and Morrison all defeated the Titans in two sets. Cliff Morrison overpowered Detroit's Nick Tolomei (6-3, 6-3) in the No. 1 spot.
The Cardinals fell short of sweeping doubles when the team of Shaun Bussert and Austin Sansone lost to Cesar Escobar and Chris Cheung (8-5) in the No. 3 spot. Albertin and Austin Smith defeated Pablo Nunez and Alex Latsinsky (8-6) in the No. 2 spot.
The Ball State men's tennis team will host Valporaiso Friday at the YMCA in Muncie. The first match will begin at 2 p.m.
