
Gymnastics Wins Think Pink Meet over Northern Illinois

Ball State's women's gymnastics team tallied a 193.400 to 192.025 Mid-American Conference victory over Northern Illinois to improve to 3-1 in the MAC.
The three conference wins ties the most for a Ball State gymnastics team since the 2002 campaign when the Cardinals were 3-3 in league action. The Cardinals improved to 5-7 overall with the victory. The 193.400 team score was a season high for Ball State.
Brittney Emmons led the Cardinals and won the all-around title with a 38.825 mark, while Nicole Allen tied for second in the all-around with a 38.650 mark.
Emmons won the floor exercise with a 9.775 mark, while placing second on the vault with a 9.700 score. She tied for third on the bars with a 9.700 mark and tied for fourth with a season high 9.650 on the beam.
Allen won the vault with a 9.750 mark, while Kayla Kmiecik claimed her first career individual title with a career best 9.725 on the bars.
Aftyn Siemer finished second on the floor with a 9.750 mark, placed second on the beam with a 9.700 score and was third on the vault with a 9.675.
Ball State will return to action March 6 with a 1 p.m. meet at Kent State.
