
Gymnastics Team Earns MAC Win at Bowling Green

Ball State's women's gymnastics team tallied a 192.325 to 187.750 victory over Mid-American Conference foe Bowling Green Sunday in Bowling Green, Ohio.
With the win, the Cardinals improved to 4-7 overall and 2-1 in league action. The two MAC wins ties the most conference victories in a season for a Ball State gymnastics team since the 2003 season.
Nicole Allen won the all-around with a 38.725, while Brittney Emmons was second with a 38.525.
Allen won the vault with a 9.825, placed second on the beam with a 9.675 and finished fourth on the floor with a 9.700. Emmons tied for first on the floor with a 9.800.
Kayla Kmiecik finished second on the bars with a 9.650, while Morgan Coslow and MaryAnn Oehlerking tied for third on the bars with a 9.575.
Aftyn Siemer tied for second on the vault with a 9.750, Leah Wilson was third on the beam with a 9.650, and Emily Wehrle was fourth on the beam with a 9.600.
The Cardinals will continue their 2011 season Friday at home with a dual meet vs. Northern Illinois. The event begins at 7 p.m., and admission is free to all fans.
