
Gymnastics Team Goes 2-1 at Illinois State

Ball State's women's gymnastics team finished 2-1 at the Illinois State Quadrangular. The Cardinals managed a 192.750 to defeat Seattle Pacific (190.825) and Wisconsin-LaCrosse (189.875). Illinois State won the event with a 194.00.
The team score marked Ball State's highest this season, beating the previous mark of 192.625 at Eastern Michigan Jan. 29.
With the victories, Ball State improved to 3-6 overall. Ball State will travel to Bowling Green Sunday for a 1 p.m. meet. The Bowling Green meet's live stats can be followed by clicking here -- LIVE STATS
At Illinois State, Brittney Emmons and Nicole Allen finished second and third, respectively, in the all-around competition to lead the Cardinals.
Emmons tallied a season high 38.900 in the all-around, while tying for first on the bars with a 9.75, placing second on the floor with a 9.800 and tying for second on the vault with a 9.725. Her performance on the bars tied her season best score. The all-around finish marked her third top-3 placing this season, while she had her fourth top-3 showing on the floor and vault and her third on the bars.
Allen won the vault with a 9.800 score, marking her fifth victory in that event this season. She placed second on the beam with a 9.850 for her first top-3 performance on that event this year.
Emily Wehrle tied for fourth on the beam with a 9.750.
