WBB Hosts Ohio Wednesday In MAC Action

Scouting Ball State: Ball State is coming off of a 77-61 road loss to Buffalo Saturday. The Cardinals enter tonight's contest with a 9-12 record and 4-4 stint in the Mid-American Conference. Three Cardinals scored in double figures against the Bulls, with senior forward Emily Maggert leading the way with 19 points. Senior guard Ty'Ronda Benning chipped in 13 points while teammate junior center Amber Crago had a season best showing with 10 points.
Scouting Ohio: The Bobcats come to Muncie having lost two games in a row against Eastern Michigan (85-40) and Northern Illinois (56-48). Ohio enters the contest tonight with an overall record of 6-15 and are 2-6 in the MAC. Tenishia Benson leads the Bobcats this season in scoring averaging 13.7 points per game and in rebounding averaging 7.6. Ohio's two MAC wins this season came over Miami (69-56) and Western Michigan (60-54). The Bobcats are 2-7 on the road.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her third season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 49-38 (.563), while her Mid-American Conference mark is 25-15. . . Semeka Randall is in her third season at Ohio. . . Randall overall record at Ohio is 27-55 and owns a MAC record of 13-27.
The Series: This is the 33rd meeting between Ball State and Ohio . . . The Bobcats lead the all-time series record 27-25 . . . The Cardinals lost to the Bobcats last season in Athens by a score of 62-59.
Packard Embarking on 50 wins: Head Coach Kelly Packard has earned 49 career victories at Ball State in three seasons (2008-present). With a win over Ohio Wednesday, Packard could get win number 50 which makes her the only other coach besides Tracy Roller (2001-04) to earn 50 victories in three seasons.
