Scouting Ball State: The Ball State women's basketball team (0-3) lost on the road Wednesday night by a score of 68-56 to SIU-Edwardsville (2-0) at the Vadalabene Center. The Cardinals had two players in double figures; with sophomore forward Jazmin Hitchens leading the way with 14- points while teammate guard Brandy Woody added 12 points on the night. Senior center Amber Crago led Ball State defensively with eight rebounds. Murray State is the second school from the Ohio Valley Conference that the Cardinals will face this week.
Scouting Murray State: The Murray State women's basketball team has started the season on a high note as it enters today's contest with an record of 2-1. The Racers tallied their most points in a game since 2008 when they earned a 103-48 victory Thursday night over Mid-Continent. The high scorer for Murray State was guard Erica Burgess while teammate guard Allison Karst chipped in 17 points for the night. The contest against Ball State marks the first of four on the road for Murray State.
