Ruehl Earns MAC Co-Swimmer of the Week Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - After helping guide the Ball State women's swimming & diving team to a victory in Ball State's season opener versus Evansville Saturday, sophomore swimmer Bridgette Ruehl (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Co-Swimmer of the Week.
The honor stands as Ruehl's first of the season and in her career after she helped lead the Cardinals to a 162-138 victory versus the Purple Aces at Roy and Mary Wyttenbach Pool.
She added phenomenal first-place efforts in the 100 breast (1:05.89) and 200 breast (2:22.56) and also swam the second leg for the first-place 200 medley relay which clocked in at 1:48.26.
Ruehl and the Cardinals opens their home schedule this weekend at Lewellen Aquatic Center with contests versus Milwaukee-Wisconsin Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. and MAC foe Bowling Green Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
