WBB Opens MAC Play at Toledo Wednesday

Scouting Ball State: The Ball State University women's basketball team closed out non-conference action Sunday after suffering an 86-51 loss to Duquesne at Worthen Arena. The Cardinals enter Mid-American Conference play tonight with a 5-8 overall record. This is the first time in Packard's three seasons she has started MAC action on the road.
Scouting Toledo: Toledo begins conference play with an 8-5 overall stint. The Rockets are coming off of a 71-55 victory to North Dakota. Toledo has won four of its last five contests. The Rockets have three players averaging double digits with Melissa Goodall leading the way averaging 14.3 points per game, Naama Shafir chips in 12.8 ppg and Jessica Williams rounds out the scoring averaging 11.1 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her third season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 45-34 (.569), while her Mid-American Conference mark is 21-11 . . . Tricia Cullop is in her third season at Toledo . . . Cullops overall record at Toledo is 51-27 and owns a MAC record of 23-9.
The Series: This is the 64th meeting between Ball State and Toledo . . . The Rockets lead the all-time series record 40-24 . . . Ball State defeated Toledo in Muncie back in January 2010 73-69 . . . The Cardinals fell to the Rockets 62-48 at Savage Arena then again in Cleveland 67-56 last season.
