
Gymnastics Team Defeats Eastern Michigan

Ball State's gymnastics team, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Nadalie Walsh, returned to Mid-American Conference action with a 192.625 to 191.075 win at Eastern Michigan.
With the win, Ball State evened its MAC record at 1-1 and improved to 1-3 overall.
A Ball State gymnast claimed a first place in each event, including Nicole Allen, who won the all-around with a 38.700.
Allen also claimed the individual title on the floor and tied her career high with a 9.875. Allen also posted a second on the bars with a career best 9.725 and placed third on the vault with a 9.625.
Brittney Emmons won the individual championship on the vault and the bars. Emmons posted a 9.725 to win the vault and a season high 9.750 to win the bars.
Emily Wehrle won the beam with 9.700, marking her second beam victory this season. She also won the event at Central Michigan with a career high 9.800.
Emmons and Tiffany Brodbeck tied for second on the floor with identical 9.775 scores. It marked a season high score for Brodbeck.
