Ball State Football GameDay Information
September 02, 2010 | Football
Ball State's football team will open the 2010 season Thursday vs. Southeast Missouri State at Scheumann Stadium with a 7 p.m. kickoff on Community Day presented by ProLiance Energy.
Ball State athletics has partnered with the Muncie Chamber of Commerce to get local fans and businesses to rally around the Cardinals and attend the games.
The day will include games, inflatables, a dunk tank and more starting at 4 p.m. in Tailgate Town. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., a live band, 8 Stories High, will provide the entertainment. Free thundersticks will be presented to the first 5,000 fans courtesy of Mutual Bank and a Fireworks Show will follow the game.
In order to improve traffic flow to and from Schuemann Stadium, Ball State, the BSU Police and Muncie and State Police have made some changes to get fans safely to and from the game.
Tillotson Avenue will close to north and southbound traffic two hours prior to the game between McGalliard Avenue and Bethel Avenue. Tillotson will re-open at kickoff and close again late in the fourth quarter for the exiting traffic.
Bethel Avenue will convert to three lanes of traffic eastbound and one lane westbound between McKinley and Chadam Lane two hours prior to kickoff. Bethel will return to normal traffic patterns at kickoff. Near the end of the game, Bethel will close all lanes eastbound between McKinley and Chadam Lane until traffic is cleared.
