Women's Basketball To Play In Caribbean Classic
July 13, 2010 | Women's Basketball
"It has been my goal since I accepted the job here at Ball State to schedule a "destination" tournament experience for our players," said Ball State head women's basketball coach Kelly Packard. "The ability to blend athletic competition with various culture and travel experiences is a unique opportunity for our student athletes. Triple Crown Sports, the Colorado-based company that produces the Caribbean Classic, is well respected in the event production business and produces a first class event."
Ball State is 1-1 against Alabama Birmingham with the Cardinals winning their last contest over UAB, 77-68 in 2001-02. The Cardinals defeated Illinois State in 2009 in Worthen Arena by a score of 86-80. Ball State and Nevada have never met.
Due to the limited seating for games in Cancun, the only guaranteed admission into the Cancun games is through the booking of a lodging and admission package through Triple Crown Sports. For information on admission packages, contact Melissa Koza at 970-672-0567 or Melissa@triplecrownsports.com or visit the event website for details at http://www.tccollegesports.net/fanpackages.asp?eventid=16.
