April 09, 2010 | Women's Swimming and Diving
MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State women's swimming & diving team, in conjunction with Swim America and Make a Splash, is offering free swimming lessons for girls and boys ages 5-10 at Ball Pool on each of the next three Saturdays (April 10, 17 and 24).
"We are very excited to be working with two great organizations in Make A Splash and Swim America," said Ball State head coach Laura Seibold-Caudill. "Teaching kids to swim is not only an enjoyable experience, but it is a potential life-saving effort. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity and are looking forward to making a positive impact in the lives of children throughout the community."
Lessons for children ages 5-7 run from 10-10:35 a.m., while lessons for children ages 8-10 go from 10:40-11:15.
The free lessons are sponsored by the Ball State Office of Institutional Diversity and the Ball State Department of Recreation.
