McDonald Receives Academic All-MAC Honors

McDonald garnered All-Mid-American Conference Honorable Mention Team in March. She ended her career ranked first in the MAC all-time in three pointers with 323. She holds the all-time three point record at Ball State with 323, first in games started 126; games played 127, first in minutes 4, 180 and eighth all-time at BSU in scoring. McDonald was second on the team in scoring this season averaging 12.3 points per contest while shooting 91 percent from the free throw line. McDonald had made at least one three pointer in every game this season. She scored a season high 26 points in a win over Northern Illinois. McDonald graduated in December from Ball State with a bachelor in sports administration and is now working on a master's degree.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
