Ball State Loses 5-2 To No. 36 Notre Dame

The Irish took the early 1-0 edge over the Cardinals after sweeping all three doubles matches. The No. 3 doubles tandem of Shaun Bussert and teammate Cliff Morrison nearly defeated David Anderson and Daniel Stahl but lost 8-7.
Eduardo Pavia won in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 over No. 44 Casey Watt at No. 1 singles. With the win Pavia improved his overall to 15-3 on the season. This was Pavia's third ranked opponent he has defeated this season at No. 1 singles. Morrison also notched a straight set victory over Stephen Havens at No. 2 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-4.
The Ball State University men's tennis team will host Buffalo in MAC action Saturday at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
