Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals improved its overall record Tuesday night to 13-16 overall and 7-9 in the Mid-American Conference after defeating Central Michigan 77-74 in their last MAC regular season contest . . . Five players scored in double figures for Ball State with junior guard Ty'Ronda Benning leading the way with 14 points . . . Junior forward Emily Maggert earned her 22nd double-double of her career after chipping in 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds . . . Senior guard Audrey McDonald tallied 13 point while classmate forward Danielle Gratton scored 11 . . . Rounding out the scoring was freshman guard Shanee' Jackson who contributed a personal best 10 points . . . Maggert leads the squad with 17.6 points a game and 10.9 boards . . . Senior guard Audrey McDonald chips in 12.3 points per game.
Scouting Western Michigan: The Bronocs improved to 9-20 overall and 4-12 in the league after defeating Northern Illinois 54-47 in their regular season finale Tuesday . . . WMU is led by Miame Giden who is averaging 14.5 points per game . . . Ebony Cleary is contributing 10.5 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her second season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 39-25, while her Mid-American Conference mark is 21-11 . . . Western Michigan's head coach Tasha McDowell is in her second season at the helm of the Broncos and owns a 16-43 ledger at WMU with a 7-25 league mark.
The Series: This is the 64th meeting between Ball State and Western Michigan . . . The Broncos lead the all-time series record 32-31 . . . Ball State hosted Western Michigan for its Mid-American Conference opener back in January and defeated the Broncos 70-55. The Cardinals have won six in row against the Broncos since the 2007-08 season.
