Men's Tennis Defeats In-State Rival Butler

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team improved its overall record to 11-5 after defeating in-state rival Butler Saturday afternoon by a score of 6-1 at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
The Cardinals took an early 1-0 edge over the Bulldogs after sweeping doubles play to go up 1-0 heading into singles action. The Ball State twosome of Eduardo Pavia and Dalton Albertin won at No. 1 doubles for the second straight day after beating Ben Raynauld and Bryce Warren, 8-4.
In singles action Ball State won all but one match. Sophomore Andres Monroy, Albertin and junior Shaun Bussert all claimed two set matches along with Pavia.
The Ball State University men's tennis team will continue non-conference action at the Boise State Invitational Saturday, March 27.
