WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - - Ball State senior diver Lisa Maertin (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way Central H.S.) saved her best performance for her final career meet, placing 16th on the three-meter board and 18th on the one-meter board at the 2010 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships hosted by Purdue.
"I am really excited for Lisa, as she accomplished her goal of making the finals at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships," said BSU women's swimming & diving head coach Laura Seibold-Caudill. On Friday, Maertin opened her third and final NCAA Zone Diving Championships by posting a score of 251.60 to place 14th in preliminary action and advance to the finals on the one-meter diving board. Maertin concluded the finals with a score of 449.30 to place 18th among the field of 45 divers, and third among Mid-American Conference divers.
