Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals improved to 12-15 overall and 6-8 in the Mid-American Conference after earning a 66-60 win at home Tuesday over Northern Illinois . . . with the win Ball State earned the rights to host the first round of the upcoming MAC Tournament . . . . . Seniro Audrey McDonald led the Cardinals with a 26 point performance which included 6-of-8 shooting from behind the arc . . . Junior forward Emily Maggert leads the team with 17.8 points per game and 10.9 rebounds . . . while McDonald is chipping a 12.3 points per contest . . . Ty'Ronda Benning is contributing 9.2 points per game.
Scouting Toledo: The Rockets improved to 21-6 overall and 11-3 in the MAC after defeating Central Michigan 77-68 Wednesday night in Mt. Pleasant . . . Toledo is stands in first in the MAC West Division . . . Tanika Mays leads Toledo with 15.0 points per game while teammate Naama Shafir is averaging 13.6 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her second season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 38-24, while her Mid-American Conference mark is 20-10 . . . Toledo's head coach Tricia Cullop is in her second season at the helm of the Rockets and owns a 39-19 ledger at Toledo with a 22-8 league mark.
The Series: This is the 62nd meeting between Ball State and Toledo . . . The Rockets lead the all-time series record 38-24 . . . Ball State defeated Toledo in Muncie back in January 73-69. Toledo holds a 22-6 advantage of games played at home against Ball State. The Cardinals did win their last meeting against the Rockets in Savage Hall last season, 75-69.
