Sports Link Package: Audrey McDonald (Basketball)
February 23, 2010 | Women's Basketball

MUNCIE, Ind. - 19 feet, 9 inches. That's where Ball State senior Audrey McDonald thrives, making three-pointer after three-pointer.
From this distance, there has never been a better women's basketball player at Ball State or in the history of the Mid-American Conference.
McDonald scored 14 points in last Saturday's win at Western Michigan, vaulting her into the top 10 all-time at BSU for points scored in her career. In addition, her name can be found in numerous categories in both the BSU and league record books - scoring, three-pointers made, career games played and minutes played among others.
However, it's not for her sharp-shooting or consistent scoring in which the Kokomo native hopes to be remembered.
"My passion and leadership," McDonald says. "I like being the floor general as many call it. I would like people to say she played hard every game and she had a lot of passion."
McDonald and the Cardinals play two of their final three games of the regular season in Muncie.
Ball State hosts Northern Illinois Feb. 23 and closes the regular-season March 2 vs. Central Michigan. Both games are slated to tip at 7 p.m. at Worthen Arena.
