Think Pink Weekend:
February 13: Women's Basketball vs. Eastern Michigan
- We will be on the concourse selling pink leis ($1) and pink t-shirts ($10). Donations will benefit Ball State's Colleges Against Cancer organization.
- We will have educational materials and a Valentine's Day card- and luminary-making station on the concourse, Gate 1.
- We will auction off a team autographed Think Pink warm-up shirt at halftime.
- We will recognize cancer survivors during the game.
Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals improved to 10-14 overall and 4-7 in the Mid-American Conference after earning a 84-62 victory at home against Buffalo Wednesday . . . Shannon Klei led the Cardinals with a career high 16 points . . . Maggert leads the team with 18.5 points per game and 10.8 rebounds . . . while Audrey McDonald is chipping a 11.3 points per contest . . . Ty'Ronda Benning and Danielle Gratton are close to averaging double digits at 9.5 and 9.0 respectively.
Scouting Eastern Michigan: The Eagles fell to 17-6 overall and 7-4 in the MAC after losing to Miami 79-63 Wednesday at home. . . Tavelyn James leads EMU with 21.7 points pergamewhile teammate Cassie Schrock is averaging 12.3 points per game.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her second season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 36-23, while her Mid-American Conference mark is 18-9 . . . Eastern Michigan's head coach AnnMarie Gilbert is in her third season at the helm of the Eagles and owns a 42-39 ledger at EMU with a 22-22 league mark.
The Series: This is the 60th meeting between Ball State and Eastern Michigan . . . The Eagles lead the all-time series record 32-27 . . . Ball State lost its first meeting against Eastern Michigan 64-54 in Ypsilanti, previously to that loss the Cardinals have not dropped a game to the Eagles since the 2005-06 season.
