Men?s Tennis Announce Ball State Invitational Draws

LEXINGTON, Kentucky - The Ball State University men's tennis team began its first day of competition at the 2010 USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships hosted by the University of Kentucky.

In doubles qualifying action the Cardinal twosome of Alexander Brym and Dave Thomas fell to Purdue's Englebrecht and Manasse, 8-6.

Thomas dropped his singles match to IUPUI while teammate Austin Sansone captured a 6-2, 6-1 victory in over Daniel Hyman of Wright State. Shaun Bussert managed a 6-1, 6-2 defeat over host Kentucky's Chris Leeper. Bussert came back to beat Parul Verma of Eastern Kentucky after dropping the first set, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 which advances him to the main singles draw. Derek Carpenter fell to Juan Ramirez from ETSU in three sets.
