Men's Tennis Ends Weekend Play at MSU

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Ball State University men's tennis team competed all weekend in fall action at the 2010 Stan Drobac Invite hosted by Big Ten foe Michigan State.
In singles action three Cardinals won their flights. Alexander Brym was crowned the flight three champion after defeating Wisconsin-Green Bay's Cox 3-6, 6-3 (3). Andres Monroy won flight four singles after taking down Wisconsin-Green Bay's Hopfe in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 and Derek Carpenter took his respective flight in seven singles with a victory over Green Bay's Oathardt, 6-2, 6-4.
Ball State had two doubles teams that were crowned champions. The twosome of Dalton Albertin and Zane Smith won flight one and Shaun Bussert and Austin Sansone won flight three.
The Ball State men's tennis team will compete at the ITA Regionals Oct. 21-24 in Lexington, Ky.
