
Gymnastics Falls to Northern Illinois

Ball State's women's gymnastics team tallied a 191.500 - its second highest team score of the season - but fell to Northern Illinois' 192.125 Sunday in DeKalb, Ill.
The Cardinals managed a season high team score on the vault (48.200) and defeated the Huskies on the floor with its 48.425, but the loss moved the Cardinals to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
Morgan Coslow won the vault with a career high 9.725, while Brittney Emmons was third with a 9.700. Emmons led all competitors on the floor and tallied the individual championship with a 9.850.
The victories were the fifth of the season for Emmons and the first of the career for Coslow, a Ball State freshman.
Bibiana Rodriguez was the Cardinals top finisher on the bars with a season high 9.825, which placed third. Tiffany Brodbeck placed third on the balance beam for Ball State with a career high 9.725
Ball State will return to action Friday with a meet at Illinois State and then return to the friendly confines of Worthen Arena for three straight home Sunday meets beginning Feb. 14.
