Men's Tennis Loses 7-0 At No. 47 Northwestern

Ball State fell behind early 1-0 after dropping the doubles point to Northwestern. Twosome Zane Smith and Andres Monroy lost at No. 2 doubles by only two points (8-6) to Alex Sanborn and Joshua Graves. At No. 1 doubles the Ball State duo of Eduardo Pavia and Dalton Albertin suffered and 8-5 loss to Andrew McCarthy and Tobia Reitz.
In singles action two Cardinals were near victory losing in three sets. Newcomer Alexandre Brym in his Ball State debut fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to Eric Spector at No. 3 singles. Monroy also dropped his No. 4 singles match to Sanborn in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
The Ball State University men's tennis team will host a double-header Friday against Dayton (2 p.m.) and Valparaiso (6 p.m.) at the Muncie Northwest YMCA Tennis Center.
