Women?s Swimming & Diving Travels To Illinois State Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State women's swimming & diving team hits the road Saturday, travelling to Normal, Ill., for a 1 p.m. (CT) swim versus Illinois State at Horton Pool.
The Cardinals enter the meet with a 5-4 dual record, despite a 155-145 setback to Michigan State in its most-recent dual meet Dec. 12. The Redbirds are a 4-1 in dual action this season after suffering a 187-117 setback to Illinois in its last dual outing Nov. 6.
Ball State enters Saturday's meet at Illinois State fresh off a first-place finish at last Saturday's Ball State Relay Invitational, in which the Cardinals won 10 of 12 events. Overall, the Cardinals scored 228 points to top Valparaiso (106) and IUPUI (96) in the three-team meet.
For her efforts in four first-place relays at the meet, senior Sarah Kehe (Westville, Ind./Chesterton H.S.) was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, earning the honor for the first time this season. In all, the BSU women's program has won three of the last four MAC Swimmer of the Week awards.
Junior Katie Bylsma (Westfield, Ind./Pinckney H.S.), sophomore Sara Hostetler (Vincennes, Ind./Jasper H.S.) and freshman Jillian Bischoff (Atlanta, Ind./Hamilton Heights H.S.) were also members of four first-place relays at the meet, while senior Emily Karwoski (Zionsville, Ind./North Central H.S.) and sophomore Nicole Saulters (Highland, Ind./Highland H.S.) were each part of three first-place relays.
The following swimmers, divers and relays are ranked in the top 10 in the Mid-American Conference entering Saturday's meet at Illinois State.
