Getting to Know BSU's Kaylee Schembra

As a freshman for the Cardinals last season, Kaylee Schembra ranked third on the team with double-figure digs in 12 matches. The 5-4 defensive specialist recorded a career-high 25 digs versus Denver (Sept. 12), while posting a then-career-high 22 digs in the previous match versus IUPUI (Sept. 9). Overall, Schembra ranked second on the squad with 295 total digs.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Schembra earned four letters in volleyball at Roncalli H.S., where she played for her mother and BSU alum Kathy Nalley-Schembra. At Roncalli, Schembra was a two-time 3A All-State First Team selection and helped guide the Rebels to the 2006 Class 3A State Championship. She is the fourth member of her immediate family to attend Ball State as a student-athlete, joining her mother (field hockey & softball) and her brothers Sean (1999-2002) and Tommy (2001-04) who were four-year letterwinners in football.

What do you want to do after college? Catch up on sleep, then get married, teach and coach
Hobbies? Scrapbooking, babysitting, coaching and coloring
