Men's Tennis Loses MAC Semifinals To WMU

BUFFALO, NY - The Ball State University men's tennis team 12-12 ended its season with a 4-2 loss to Western Michigan Friday afternoon at the Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by the University of Buffalo.
The Cardinals fell behind early to the Broncos losing two doubles matches at No. 1 and then at No. 3 to give WMU a 1-0 edge heading into singles play.
Senior Jorge Rodriguez ended his career with a perfect MAC record after capturing a 6-2, 6-4 win over Zevad Montasser at No. 5 singles. Sophomore Shaun Bussert was victorious at No. 6 after defeating Pablo Olivarez, 7-5, 6-3.
