Women's Golf at Ladies Midwest Shoot Out Saturday

Ball State's women's golf team will compete in the one day, 36-hole, Ladies Midwest Shoot Out hosted by Purdue University and played at the Kampen Golf Course Saturday. The format for the tournament will be six players, count four scores.
Joining the Cardinals and host Boilermakers at the event will be Butler, Cincinnati, DePauw, Franklin, Indianapolis, IUPUI, Kent State, Kentucky, Western Michigan and Vanderbilt.
Ball State's competitors will include Kristtini Cain, Brittany Kelly, Kirsty O'Connor, Rachael Pruett, Katie Windlan and Sarah Windlan.
Kelly leads the Cardinals with a 77.68 average and six top-10 finishes this season. Pruett is secont on the team with a 78.36 average, and has seven top-20 and one top-10 finish this year.
Ball State has had a different individual lead tournaments this spring. Kelly was the team's top golfer at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational with a tie for 42nd. O'Connor led the Cardinals and finished second at the El Diablo Spring Invitational March 12-13. Cain tied for third at the Saluki Invitational, and Pruett was the team's top golfer with a tie for 27th at the Indiana Invitational April 6-7.
This tournament will mark the Cardinals final regular season event of the year. Ball State will compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships April 24-26 at Longaberger Golf Course in Nashport, Ohio.
